Puranik and 100 scientists and engineers pose with President Barack Obama

Dr. Puranik Honored by President Obama

On May 5, President Obama welcomed more than 100 leading scientists and engineers from across the country and around the world – including Associate Professor Cynthia Puranik – to thank them for their work on some of the most challenging and complex issues in science and technology.

These individuals, the latest recipients of the Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers, spent two days in Washington, D.C., meeting with administration leaders and sharing the insights of their work.

Congratulations, Dr. Puranik!
